Winning Junior Achievement Team to Share Percentage of Proceeds from Bangin’ Peach Mango Smoothie
During September, all Colorado Jamba Juice locations are serving the sweet taste of success with Bangin’ Peach Mango, a smoothie flavor introduced by the winning team of high school students who participated in Junior Achievement’s 2013 Business Week. The team of winning students will share 20 percent of the profits realized from sales of their smoothie. More than 260 students from 69 Colorado high schools participated in the innovative week-long business immersion summer camp exploring business, entrepreneurship and leadership concepts alongside some of Denver’s most dynamic and accomplished business leaders.
The winning team’s Bangin’ Peach Mango smoothie is made with orange juice, mangos, peaches, and bananas. The students’ marketing tactics will kick off with a street team attending the Taste of Colorado from August 30 through September 2. Students will also promote the smoothie through public relations, point-of-sale displays, and event promotions.
Team members, supervised by advisor Rondah Frierson, were: Brenden Bac, Castle View High School; Aimee Leyva, Vista Peak High School; Lulu Liu, Cherry Creek High School; Mikias Negussie, Rangeview High School; Dayn Pyykkonen, Lakewood Senior High School; Kennede Reese, St. Mary’s Academy; Francesca Roberts, Gateway High School; Ashlee Rodehorst, Denver School of Science and Technology; Cynthia Sanchez, Thornton High School; Soledad Sosa, Denver School of Science and Technology; Dara Taylor, George Washington High School; and Derrick Trujillo, Denver School of Science and Technology.
