As an extension of its digital learning resources and virtual experiences this school year, Junior Achievement is partnering with Techstars to present a series of virtual town halls for teens with up and coming entrepreneurs.
Techstars specializes in connecting corporations and communities with the world’s most promising startups in dozens of industries, fostering mentorships and new ways of thinking and working. The company has worked with over 2,200 companies that today have a combined market cap valuation of $29 billion.
“The virtual world we’re in right now has really pushed us to innovate, and provide world class opportunities for JA students that further elevate the foundational career readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship lessons they gain from JA and our volunteers,” says Mike MacDonnell, JA-Rocky Mountain’s Chief Learning Officer. “Techstars is providing access to entrepreneurs with cutting edge knowledge and inspiring stories that will really excite teens.”

The first virtual town hall will be Tuesday, November 10 at 3:30 p.m. and is being offered at no cost. Panelists will include Vanessa Clark, CEO of Atomos Space, which provides new transportation solutions for satellites and space debris, and Mustafa Syed, Founder of REZA, which is launching a footwear brand that incorporates technology.
