In 2019, Colorado returned more than $1 billion in refunds to 1.9 million state taxpayers. This year, Coloradans who receive a state income tax refund will have a chance to donate all or some of it to a local nonprofit they believe in like Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, Inc. (JA).
This new state initiative, promoted through the ReFUND CO awareness campaign, gives you an opportunity to directly support JA’s work in the community. If you get a state income tax refund, it puts you in control to decide how much and where you want to give.
For JA, this offers a new way to fund programs that provide young people the tools they need for the business of life—the knowledge and skills to secure a career, an understanding of finances, and an optimistic outlook on the future.
The ReFUND CO campaign shows you how to choose where your donation goes. Enter Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain and our registration number 20043002267 in the Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund line on your return or tax software – or give this info to your tax preparer when you share your tax documents.
