The afternoon before Mocktails started off with an empowering and captivating presentation about how to shape your own personal network from Ray Harman and Gary Sugar. The dorms then filled with the hustle and bustle of girls and boys dressing up in suits and dresses to go off to the JW Marriott for a night of networking. As students arrived at the JW Marriott each company was photographed by McBoat Photography – giving students a lasting memory of those they worked with. Junior Achievement Business Week participants were then ushered up through the gorgeous hotel and into a ballroom for Mocktails and desserts.
The Mocktails consisted of raspberry lemonade, sherry temples, as well as other sodas. Meanwhile the dessert consisted of luscious brownies, oversized cake pops, and cheesecake bites. As the night progressed business professional volunteers arrived and gave people the opportunity to network with a community of key players in the Denver business world. The energy in the room was truly miraculous as young students were able to connect with business professionals who could really impact them in the future.
By the end of the event each student had a new vote of confidence in themselves and what they were doing and wanted to pursue as well as a handful of emails and business cards to those who had a drive to continue to be a part of their successes in the future. This incredible event would not have been possible if it were not for all of the generous sponsors who have supported JA Business Week.
